Rote Flora & Schulterblatt
16 Feb '14 15:00 by Anna Koy in Hamburg
We will meet in front of the Rote Flora in Hamburg (Schulterblatt 71).
The february theme is ‘This is the news’, that’s why the Rote Flora is a great place to meet. It has been widely in the news over the past few months, ending in a huge demonstration against the police.
The Rote Flora is a former theater in the neighbourhood Schanzenviertel. It has been squatted in November 1989 in response to the decision to turn it into a thaetre. The people using the Rote Flora started a campaign for activities against a possible eviction. The front part of the building still serves as a space for political, often very subjective and propagandistic, messages.
During our meeting we will try to capture the signs of the protest of the last weeks which is manifested especially in the street art.
Afterwards we will meet for coffee or beer at 16.30 (4.30pm) in Haus 73 (Schulterblatt 73).
I’m looking forward to meet you!
Anna-Maria
